Clinical Supervision for Pre-Licensed Therapists in South Florida

LMHC Supervision in Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, and Fort Lauderdale

Graduate training gives you a foundation. Clinical work asks something different.
Supervision offers space to think clearly, develop your voice, and navigate the complexity of real client work.

Beginning your work as a therapist is both meaningful and complex. Many clinicians reach this stage with strong academic training and a clear sense of purpose, but find that the day-to-day experience of clinical work requires a different level of support.

Clinical supervision offers a space to think carefully about your work, develop your clinical voice, and navigate the responsibilities that come with providing therapy.

I provide supervision for pre-licensed therapists in Florida working toward licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).

My Approach to Supervision

My approach to supervision is grounded, collaborative, and focused on real clinical work.

We focus on how you are thinking about your clients, how you are understanding patterns, and how you are making decisions in session. Supervision is not about applying one model or following a script. It is about developing clarity, confidence, and clinical judgment over time.

Our work may include:

• Case consultation and conceptualization
• Navigating complex client presentations
• Developing your therapeutic presence
• Understanding relational and attachment patterns
• Ethical and professional decision-making
• Integrating modalities in a way that feels natural and effective

The goal is not perfection. It is steadiness and growth.

Modalities and Clinical Orientation

My clinical work is informed by several approaches, including:

• EMDR (EMDRIA listed)
• AEDP
• Internal Family Systems (IFS)
• Attachment-based and depth-oriented therapy

You are not expected to practice exactly as I do. Instead, supervision is a space to explore how different approaches fit your style and the needs of your clients.

Who I Work With

I work with pre-licensed therapists in South Florida who are building their clinical foundation and working toward LMHC licensure.

Many of the clinicians I supervise are completing or have recently graduated from programs such as Florida Atlantic University, Palm Beach Atlantic University, and Nova Southeastern University. They come in with strong academic training, but are looking for a space to think more deeply about their clinical work.

This may be a good fit if you are:

  • Beginning your post-graduate hours and want more than basic supervision

  • Looking to strengthen your clinical thinking and decision-making

  • Interested in EMDR or depth-oriented approaches

  • Wanting a steady, focused supervisory relationship

Getting Started

If you would like to explore whether this approach feels right for you, I invite you to schedule a brief consultation.

There is no obligation to begin long-term therapy. We can simply start with a conversation and determine whether working together makes sense.
